We found Bauchi’s stolen aircraft in Morocco, Governor Abubakar says

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has disclosed that his Public Property Recovery Committee discovered an aircraft belonging to the state but hidden in Morocco.

Mr. Abubakar stated this on Saturday night in Bauchi in a broadcast marking 100 days of his administration.

BAUCHI STATE: THE JOURNEY SO FAR,

FIRST 100 DAYS OF SELFLESS STEWARDSHIP TO THE PEOPLE OF BAUCHI STATE – THE JOURNEY SO FAR,
BEING AN ADDRESS TO THE PEOPLE OF BAUCHI STATE
BY HIS EXCELLENCY MOHAMMED ABDULLAHI
ABUBAKAR Esq. GOVERNOR OF BAUCHI STATE
ON 5TH SEPTEMBER, 2015
====================================
Fellow Citizens of Bauchi State,
All Praises be to Allah, the Beneficent, and the Merciful.
We have marked the 100th day since we took the oath of committal to work assiduously for the progress of Bauchi State and its people; counting each day as an opportunity to serve our people to the fullest. Though relatively short, but, we do believe that the 100 day mark is a worthy milestone for our strategic focus and general governance direction to be evaluated on the gauges of intent, posturing and deliberate action.
2. Since we took the oath of office, our administration has not looked back on its promise to restore the dignity of Bauchi State and enhance the living conditions of our people. The reigns handed to us by the previous administration were no doubt replete with massive profligacy with state resources, wanton disregard of laid down administrative processes, absolute rot in resource management processes and crass nepotism in undertaking general governance duties.

APC Adresses the Press -Full Text of Buhari's Speech.

"For Nigeria Let Us Be Calm and Resist Provocation."

Following the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the 2015 general elections by six weeks, I wish to appeal for utmost restraint and calm by all Nigerians, especially the teeming supporters of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This postponement, which comes on the heels of the bogey of the National Security Adviser that half of the registered voters were being disenfranchised was exposed as a crude and fraudulent attempt to subvert the electoral process.

The PDP administration has now engineered a postponement using the threat that security will not be guaranteed across the length and breadth of Nigeria because of military engagement in some states in the North East. It is important to note that although INEC acted within its constitutional powers, it is clear that it has been boxed into a situation where it has had to bow to pressure. Thus, the independence of INEC has been gravely compromised.

Nuhu Gidado Congratulates Barr M.A Abubakar

"Our Bauchi State gubernatorial primary election has come and gone and, my brother, Barr. M. A. Abubakar has successfully been elected to fly our party flag come 2015! Accordingly, I wish to hereby extend my CONGRATULATIONS to him especially, and to our party faithfuls. Alhamdulillah!

Success in politics, I believe, does not start and end with the reward of an office or seat, but certainly, it involves making contributions that impact positively on the system. We've collectively and, indeed, successfully been doing so and, Insha Allah, will continue to relentlessly participate in every struggle that will challenge oppression of our people with a view to promoting equity, justice and good governance. This is a task that will never be compromised.

Mu’azu’s seat under threat as PDP Governors, Tukur seek his removal

Muazu1

For allegedly tampering with the delegates’ lists submitted from the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, congress elections held in some states last month, governors of those states who are angling for absolute control of the party structures are believed to have perfected plans to oust the PDP national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.

Similarly, immediate past national chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who resigned in January this year, is warming up to return to Wadata Plaza, as he is reported to have briefed his lawyers to challenge his resignation as the national chairman of the ruling PDP, claiming that he did not resign properly as the national chairman of the party.

A fresh crisis is brewing in the Peoples Democratic Party over the insistence of some of its members to contest its presidential primary with President Goodluck Jonathan.

But the national leadership of the party has refused to sell its presidential nomination and expression of interest forms to two other presidential aspirants.

Two of the aspirants, Dr. Abdul-Jhalil Tafawa-Balewa and Prof. Akasoba Duke-Abiola, were at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Tuesday to purchase the forms, but they were turned back.

2015 presidential ticket: APC govs insist on VP slot

Okorocha, Oshiomhole and Amaechi

Via PUNCH

There are strong indications that the All Progressives Congress governors may produce the party’s vice-presidential candidate for the 2015 election.

Saturday PUNCH’s investigations on Thursday in Abuja showed that the governors were demanding that one of them should be given the party’s vice-presidential slot.

It was reliably gathered that their demand was premised on the indication that a former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) or ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar might get the presidential ticket.

How state governors are mortgaging their states, By Col Abubakar Umar

It has become necessary to alert the nation of a dangerous, indeed an explosive scheme by which some state Governors are mortgaging the future of their states through excessive borrowing from commercial banks and other financial institutions to finance projects of dubious viability.

The motive is entirely unclear. But one suspects it is either to fraudulently acquire campaign funds as the 2015 elections approach or retirement benefits. Some of them are also desperately selling off state’s assets including shares and other long term investments.

PDP administration is evil and heartless, says Bauchi APC guber

Gubernatorial aspirant of the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi state Engr. Nuhu Gidado has described the PDP led administration as evil and heartless to the citizens at all levels of governance.

Engr. Nuhu Gidado stated this yesterday while briefing journalists on his intention to run for the state governorship seat at the NUJ secretariat in Bauchi. He said no effort could qualify Nigeria to say we are in the learning process because of the heartless governance of the ruling party.

He pointed out that its very unfortunate that Nigerians cannot move freely because of the high rate of insecurity in the country while leaders at all levels of government cannot move freely in the society as a result of bad governance.

“At the moment, the horrific, maladministration by our present leadership has made governance of our state yearn for holistic rescue mission as many might have lost hope and many are still weary from the ever growing level of official neglect, corruption with utter impunity which has almost sent Bauchi state into bankruptcy and to the more even scary national deterioration of our homeland security. It is therefore imperative to come together to chart a course that will arrest the current scourge” he said.

ENGR NUHU GIDADO :THE REJUVENATION OF OUR HERITAGE BECKONS

It is indeed the pride of every father to bequeath to the world worthy offspring whose rightly guided steps can lead the marches of glory. It is indeed the dream of every worthy child to keep the glorious flag of a grandiose heritage waving with strong winds, radiating pride and dignity.
Bauchi is our heritage, the pride of our ancestors, the dignity of our people and the identity of a multi-cultural cluster of millions. Our image to the world and the rest of Nigeria largely depends on what we are able to harness from our inherent potential, the best that we are able to project of our state.

As a people, we are not lacking in history, neither does any community or state tower above us in a comforting identity. We are a vastly endowed entity in terms of natural wealth and human resources.

Real Reasons Senator Bala Mohammed Dropped Gubernatorial Ambition

When President Goodluck Jonathan at the weekly federal executive meeting held on Wednesday reeled out the names of the seven ministers who are expected to quit his cabinet in pursuance of their gubernatorial ambition, not a few expressed surprise that the name of Senator Bala Mohammed, the minister in charge of the Federal capital territory (FCT), did not featured.
The Minister has purportedly shown interest in the governorship seat of Bauchi state and had began preparation since early last year setting up structures across the three senatorial zones and the twenty local governments that constitutes the state. Evidence of this was seen in his posters of the that littered the state and the large number of his loyalists that trooped out to the North West unity rally of the Peoples Democratic Party held in his state.

General Muhammadu Buhari's Declaration Speech

Protocols

First I would like, Mr Chairman, if I may, pay tribute to Nigerians as a whole who are enduring all sorts of hardships and deprivations on a daily basis. Many millions are grappling with extreme poverty and barely eking out a living. Nearly all are in fear of their lives or safety for themselves and their families due to Insurgency by the godless movement called Boko Haram;
By marauding murderers in towns and villages;
By armed robbers on the highways;
By kidnappers who have put whole communities to fright and sometimes to flight.
