The Emir of Ningi Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya has lost his wife, Hajiya Ya Maryam. The deceased died on Thursday at the age of 48 after a brief illness.
A statement issued yesterday by the secretary of the Ningi Emirate Council, Alhaji Suleiman Shehu Bura, said Hajiya Ya Maryam died at her family’s house in Ningi town of Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The statement stated that the family was shocked at her death. The statement described Hajiya Ya Maryam as a pillar, good mother and a devout Muslim, who would forever be remembered for her commitment to the welfare needs of the less privileged in her community.
